I’m Lars. I make cool stuff as a full stack web developer.

I’ve loved computers and video games for as long as I can remember, and created my very first games using the RPG Maker 2000 when I was 12 years old. But only when I didn’t get distracted by the likes of Metroid or Zelda.

As I still couldn’t get enough of it, I also started writing about games on numerous websites, with some of them co-founded by me and some friends I’d made on that new internet thingy. I attended conventions, interviewed some really amazing people, and wrote countless articles and reviews.

Studying media computing science and complex software systems as well as landing a job in the games industry only felt natural. I recently switched to a digital agency for a fresh coat of paint, as I also enjoy trying out new things such as doing improv theatre and standup comedy, being a quizmaster at the local Irish pub, or getting a dog. And oh boy is he a fluffy one.

Today, I’m a full stack web developer living in Bremen, Germany. I mostly make cutting edge web applications using Laravel and Tailwind CSS. Depending on the project I combine these with Vue.js, Inertia.js, Livewire, Alpine.js, Filament or Statamic. I published my first book in 2019 and occasionally do conference talks and workshops to share my knowledge with others.
